Our Mission

We are a growing company that target construction companies of all sizes that require a self-healing concrete solution for their building projects.

Current Issues

Cracks in concrete are a common phenomenon due to its relatively low tensile strength. The durability of concrete is impaired by cracks since they provide an easy path for the transportation of liquids and gases that potentially contain harmful substances. If microcracks grow and reach the reinforcement, not only the concrete itself may be attacked, but also the reinforcement steel bars will be corroded.

The crumbling Gardiner is a contentious problem that has plagued Toronto for decades. In 2014 and 2015, Toronto City Council received 17 calls about concrete falling from the expressway (The Star 26-05-2015).

Our Solution

Micro organism based self-healing is a capable solution for sustainable improvement of concrete. A healing agent that works when bacteria embedded in the concrete convert nutrients into limestone.

In previous solutions, The costs of adding the healing agent to concrete when something is being built from scratch are high, about $27-$54 per cubic metre of concrete which is very costly in large scales.

Self-healing concrete could solve the problem of concrete structures deteriorating well before the end of their service life. CONCREHEAL increase the lifespan of many civil engineering structures.

About us & our work

Concrete Healing will create and develop a self-healing concrete solution by a new formulation that will solve the problem of concrete structures deterioration well before the end of their service life as it will convert nutrients into limestone. One of the biggest advantages of Concrete Healing’s manufacturing process is that the quality of self-healing concrete is rigorously controlled through specialised testing procedures created by the Quality Control Assistant and the Cement Production Supervisors.

Why Concrete Healing

Repair of conventional concrete structures usually involves applying a concrete mortar which is bonded to the damaged surface. Sometimes, the mortar needs to be keyed into the existing structure with metal pins to ensure that it does not fall away. Repairs can be particularly time consuming and expensive because it is often very difficult to gain access to the structure to make repairs, especially if they are underground or at a great height.
